INCEPTION AND THE DREAM ARCHITECT

ANAHITA ANSARI

Persian visual arts have always had a close connection with poetry and possess an inherent illustrative quality.

The deletion of weight and shadow in old Persian paintings opens a window to imagery and dream; the absence of time provides an opportunity to juxtapose parallel events. Not unlike the hot movie Inception, Persian art allows the Dream Architect to flourish.

ANAHITA: PERSIAN DREAM ARCHITECT

Anahita ‘s fresh and energetic style brings her paintings to life. She invigorates an ancient art from with an injection of vitality and overlays relevance to modern life.

In Anahita ‘s work, we can sense the urgency to transcend the application of hand to canvas. She has the spirit and vigor of an over-enthusiastic story-teller. She conveys a story or tale using imagery; she is the architect of the dream.

Anahita A.P. was born in 1973 in the strikingly beautiful Isfahan, Iran. She studied at the school of Fine Arts and graduated from the Faculty of Arts in Tehran in 1995. She has since lived and worked in the cities of Isfahan and Dubai, a paradox of ancient and modern art worlds and the ultimate ‘DREAM within a Dream’
